A Little Getaway Trip (Part 1)

During the last summer, specifically on 29 November 2019 my family and I decided to take a rest from the noisy and busy city to relax ourselves. So we decided to go on a short trip to Yogyakarta (Jogja) in Central Java. Personally, I think that doing road trips are the best, because you wouldn't have to spend so much money, especially when you only go on the weekends. Which means only three days.

Since the government built a toll road which gives people fast access to go across provinces, it only took us around 6-7 hours to drive to the destination. We drove at the morning around 6 AM and reached Yogyakarta at 3 PM, since we stop at the rest area a few times.

As soon as we reached Jogja the whole family was pretty much hungry and so we stopped at our first destination, to eat soto. An Indonesian cuisine which consist of chicken meat, small transparent thin noodle, tomato, and sometimes egg mixed in a yellow-colored soup and usually could be eaten with rice or rice cake (lontong), or potato meatball (perkedel). It is best to eat with crackers (kerupuk) or emping (chips).

I'd give this dish a 7 out of 10. Cause it really really really satisfied my hunger. After we're all done eating we continue our journey to pick my sister up, as she already arrived in Jogja before us.

Fun fact! My mother and father actually took their bachelor degree in accounting at Jogja. So we continue to go around and my mother showed her campus as well as where she lived during that time. It was actually enjoyable to see and know my mother's and father's past moments.

I'll stop here for now, to know more I'll update you guys real soon. Guess what my next adventures are in Jogja! See you in my next post.
